Sparkling punch

Prep: 5 min., Chill: 1 hr. For a sweeter finish, substitute ginger ale for club soda.

Ingredients

  • 1 (12-oz.) can frozen pink lemonade concentrate, thawed
  • 4 cups white cranberry juice cocktail
  • 1 qt. club soda, chilled
  • Garnish: fresh mint sprigs

Preparation

1. Stir together lemonade concentrate and cranberry juice cocktail in a large pitcher. Cover and chill at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours. Stir in club soda just before serving. Garnish, if desired.

Champagne Punch: Substitute 1 (750-milliliter) bottle extra-dry Champagne or sparkling wine and 1/4 cup orange liqueur for club soda; proceed with recipe as directed.

Note: For testing purposes only, we used Cointreau for orange liqueur.

Alice in Wonderland March 6, 2011

Guess what we’re doing tomorrow? Going to paint the roses red at the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party! My 3 year old is super excited. This playdate is being organized by the fabulous ladies at the MOMS Club of North Kingstown/Wickford here in Rhode Island. I have some two-bite orange and cranberry scones to take. After all, what tea party would not be complete without scones? I made a little something fun for the play date:

I couldn’t decide if I prefer the “drink me” tags to be scalloped circles to match the party toothpicks or if these should be tags. What do you think? Any preference?

The font I used is called Alice in Wonderland and is inspired by Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland movie logo. It is available for download for free- for personal use only- from one of my favorite websites, dafont.com.

If you like these cupcake toppers/party toothpicks, then check out the Bright collection in my Etsy store. I have these party toothpicks available for shipping (a set of 20 for only $10…what a bargain!) and will soon be adding a matching Happy Birthday banner!

Ribbon Flag Cupcake Toppers March 5, 2011

I decided to do something fun… something a little different… and hopefully something other people will like as much as I do. Miniature Ribbon Flag Cupcake Toppers! How cute: Cupcake Toppers

I just love these!!! I think the red and black flags would be perfect for pirate theme or ladybird theme parties. What do you think?

Here is another color combination that I simple adore- pink, yellow and purple.

And of course these are available on my Etsy store: http://www.etsy.com/shop/APartyStudio?section_id=7888591
